Dear Ava, When men who love you, men who are skilled with guns and in combat tell you to hide, or run away, YOU FUCKING DO IT. You don’t flout their instructions and act pissy and self-righteous about it because you by this point you should realize that by fucking around with your stupid-ass…
Ava has proven she can use a weapon several times, she has every right to defend herself and she has done so successfully in the past.
The real issue is that one of those gun toting men should get her to a fucking hospital instead of bringing in the $ hungry young MD who doesn’t have the equipment/infrastructure to deal with her injury.
Ok I’m new enough to tumblr that I don’t know how to do this well, but WOW did not expect this reaction, or any at all really. I didn’t mean to offend anyone, I love the show and love Joelle Carter, and Ava was my favorite character in season one. Justifying my thought process here probably won’t do much; my main point is I’m sorry it came off as hating, I guess it was an Ava-hate post, hastily written, and I had no clue that it would have bothered you guys personally. I wasn’t loving the way the writers had developed Ava and Winona, both of whom I really like, making them do things that seem completely contrary to their natures. Tumblr is not for my rants. I will take the post down if that makes any difference. There is my apology. In some agony here, because I like all the tumblr accounts that I seem to have infuriated, and like/reblog regularly. Please don’t hate me :/
No, you’re fine. I wasn’t trying to attack, really, I was trying to counter point. I’m sorry if I made you feel attacked. Don’t take it down or anything, it IS totally you’re right to post something like that. I personally don’t like how Ava’s character changed the last few eps of season 2 either, I’m happy she’s with Boyd but it feels like they took away her good lines and brains.
The Justified fandom, i think, its touchy when it comes to Ava and Winona. And I think the important thing is just to not banish anyone for their opinion.

Eh, it was pretty over the top on my part, I normally don’t do anything like that. And you guys were in the right, really, because it was a bit disrespectful of me. Anyway, thanks for the welcome, and here’s hoping they’ll make Winona and Ava mind-blowingly awesome again in season 3!
